Contested Abortions:
There is an alarming upward trend in contested abortions, cross state abortions, and late term abortions. While there may be very limited situations that would warrant an abortion, we believe that the majority of the time, having the baby is significantly better than not having the baby. We understand that ultimately the decision to have the child is up to the mother, that said, the men who want their child to be born deserve a voice. The sick businesses who perform these contested abortions should have to provide the fathers with a chance to be heard. We should at least know where and what sick business is taking our beautiful gift from GOD that we created and turning it into medical waste.
Miscarriage:
The unintentional loss of a baby can be just as hard on men as women. Many men get so concerned with helping their significant others that they forget about themselves or put themselves last. We want to bring attention to these needs and help those who need it.
Difficulty Getting Pregnant
This area of difficulty can be demeaning, and create tension in your relationship with your partner. The pressure to perform can make matters even worse. The good news is that there are lots of groups and communities already in existence that offer help in this area. At Dads2B we wanted to acknowledge this area of challenge within our community and provide connections to these groups.
Paternity Disputes
What’s worse? Not knowing if a yet to be born child is yours? Or knowing it’s yours and that the mother is suggesting it’s not? Men in either situation deserve honesty and don’t always get it. Imagine living your life knowing that you have a child out there that you created, yet you will never be able to spend one minute with them, or even acknowledge that they are your child because their mother can’t be honest with her (other) partner. Imagine going through nine and a half months thinking that you have a baby on the way only to find out that it’s not even yours. These heart wrenching situations can be avoided simply by promoting honesty.
